Welp, today’s June 1st, and you know what that means? =)
For this year, I’m going to be reviewing an old book and a new book, but both will surprise you in what they are. Meanwhile, I may do an editorial, but I promise you one thing: I will review a certain CGI-animated short film that’s been pulling at the Internet’s heartstrings even before its been released. It’s quirky, its subtle, it looks beautifully animated, and is said to be a major step in directly addressing LGBT relationships to kids.
That’s right, to celebrate LGBT Pride Month, I am going to review In a Heartbeat~!
It’s going to be a long month ahead for us. It’s the time to be proud of who you are, who you love and the sacrifices made to guarantee equal rights. Especially regarding the tragedies of the past year, including the lives lost in Orlando last year.
However, to quote Garnet from Steven Universe: “You’re not gonna stop what we’ve made together. We are gonna stay like this forever. If you break us apart we’ll just come back newer. And we’ll always be twice the gem that you are.”
Indeed. Happy LGBT Pride Month! 🙂
Thank you for taking your time here! 🙂 Please leave a reply or comment below. Knowing that someone is reading this is what keeps me going, and I’d love to know everyone else’s opinion is on these books or any recommendations for future reviews.
