For those (like two or three of you) who have no idea what a creepypasta is, it’s an Internet urban legend that has been passed through message boards or shared online as stories. Review: ‘In a Dark, Dark Wood’ by Ruth Ware

Whenever I read books about a group of strangers meeting in an isolated place and being thrust into a horror story, I often can’t help but roll my eyes. If you remember my review of ‘The Rules’ in October, you may recall it kind of left a foul taste in my mouth. It was by no means terrible, but it left me wanting more variety and depth. I wanted an original story with new characters, a sense of chilling atmosphere, and be genuinely scared and care for the characters.

I am! Happy Early Halloween everyone! Here’s a horror story I wrote for everyone to enjoy! I make it a personal tradition to write a horror story every coming Halloween, and this year is no exception. If you’re interested, the story involves a nameless narrator as he recounts him and a friend visited the house of a dead serial killer.
